Artist Bio
Aron Göttmann, born in Heidelberg in 1997, now lives and works in Mannheim, Germany. In his large-format works, he combines oil pastels with oil and acrylic paints to create vibrant, multi-layered figurative worlds. Particularly distinctive is his way of alienating, recomposing, and merging faces and figures. This creates an organic, interwoven whole that questions traditional boundaries of figurative art and invites the viewer to explore new perspectives.
His latest works, in the "Beautiful Crowds" series, explore the uniqueness of the individual and the collective energy of human connection. The paintings demonstrate how the interaction of individuals creates a dynamic community perceived as a living crowd. The colors, shapes, and textures reflect that beauty lies not in uniformity, but in the diversity and interplay of people. The viewer is invited to discover the depth and complexity of each group or "crowd" and to recognize the unique role of the individual within this colorful, vibrant, and intertwined community, expressed in the artist's teeming figurative worlds.
